So Many Idiots, So Little Time

Take It Out and Shoot It

  • Lawyer: “When he went, had you gone and had she, if she wanted to and were able, for the time being excluding all the restraints on her not to go, gone also, would he have brought you, meaning you and she, with him to the station?”
  • Other Lawyer: “Objection. That question should be taken out and shot.”

After trying to keep tabs on the ultimate three ring circus currently taking place in Copenhagen, I cannot think of anything that is a bigger waste of time, money, and idiots than the Global Warming scummit. Ponzi schemers everywhere are livid that they weren’t as thoughtful as Al Gore and his band of brothers at the IPCC and UN.

These guys can’t keep their own stuff straight, let alone try to reason with the honest skeptics. It’s kind of like talking to Reverend Jim.

Is there some honesty in the AGW argument? There might be. Can they express it while logically (not emotionally) refuting the skeptics? Obviously not. It’s like watching your children try to cover for a lie, realize they are caught, then build another lie on top of it.

The whole bunch of them should be taken out and shot. If not for lies, extortion, and slander, then for flat-out incompetence.

FWIW, this post is being categorized under “Religion” – because AGW is – and under “Science” – even though it’s not.

Travel Plans

I’d like to thank the idiots from the U.S. mainstream media, Mexico, the CDC and the WHO for causing thousands of travelers to postpone or cancel their trips to the Yucatan peninsula this week and next.

As one of those travelers who was going to vacation in Cancun this week, I watched local blogs, and touched base with a friend who lives south of Cancun.  Zero reports of the swine flu (I refuse to use Janet Napolitano’s term for it) in that area. Yet, because of press releases and news conferences, many countries and companies chose to cease or drastically reduce travel to Mexico.

For all the diligence these yahoos did on the disease itself, they didn’t do any diligence on logisitics – travel patterns, personal behaviors, activities conducted by those diagnosed with the illness, etc.  Now, Cancun is a virtual ghost town, hoping to open up again later this week.

In reality, it never needed to close.  Fear works better than fact.  Ugh!

So, while we hope and pray that the Yucatan’s economy can rebound, my family will be vacationing for one day less and $1,000 more in the Bahamas.

I hate the media, and the governmental agencies that profess to be for the people.  Idiots!

It Was Just A Teeny-Weeny Error

IOTW candidate #1, week of 2/23/2009

Several years ago, when Butch Davis was the coach of the Cleveland Browns, his starting quarterback went down with an injury.  During a press conference, Davis called it a “teeny-tiny little hairline fracture of a non weight-bearing bone”.  What he was trying to say was, “move along, nothing to see here”.

The quarterback really never recovered for the remainder of the season.

What would he say today about this?   That it was just an eentsy-weentsy patch of ice?  Or that it really wasn’t all that thick?  Or that the sensor had a teeny-tiny problem?  I wonder.

Just remember, global warming does exist, regardless of how misleading the measurements and models really are.

Jeff Foxworthy Would Be Proud

Maybe my elementary school science teachers were all wrong.  After all, they taught me about the oxygen/carbon dioxide cycle between animals and plants.  And I guess that there was something incorrect about that, at least I thought so after watching all the environmental science programs on television lately.

Or, maybe, they weren’t dumb after all.  Maybe the scientists that made this “discovery” are the ones that aren’t smarter than a fifth grader.

Since when have we ignored basic science for the sake of politics?  Never mind; don’t answer that.
