So Many Idiots, So Little Time

Bottom feeders rising to the top

Why Call Them RINOs?

Liberal Democrat

Conservative Republican

Redundant terms?  Maybe for the former, but not for the latter.  With the number of Republicans faithfully reaching across the aisle – isn’t that like shacking up with your enemy? – the latter term is now more of a paradox.

Consider this stupidity in MN.  As if the “leaders” in OH weren’t bad enough, Pawlenty – who many thought was a budding star in the Republican party – wants to tax you by the mile.

Oh, never mind.  As a RINO, he is a budding star of the Republican Party.  Republican losership doesn’t get it.  It’s time to develop the Constitution and Libertarian parties.  Didn’t the Whig party die?  Why not let “Democrat lite” party die, too.

Stupid Is

If you’ve hit internet news or blogs at all over the last two to three weeks, you have heard about the Tea Parties being organized by grass roots Americans that don’t want Congress and the President taking over their country.   Not all of the attendees are conservative, but I would venture to guess that a supermajority of them are.

And for all you closet idiots out there, Conservative and Republican are not the same thing.  Not even close.  Not by a long shot.

I guess this Congressman Adler and his staff either are too stupid to understand the stunt, or are playing ignorant and don’t care what their constituents are thinking.  Either way, Rep. Adler needs to get a thicker skin and grow up.  He is the first IOTW candidate this week.

Here is the video of the message left by Rep. Adler’s staff.

And here is a little text on the follow-up conversation

Rep. Adler – someone actually voted for you?

A Toast to the Dying Newspapers

An ode to newspapers:

Oh, how I wish
you could ply your trade well.
You might stick around for a while.

Oh, how I wish
your paper would sell
if you reported more substance, less style.

“We don’t know what to do!”
You lament and you fret.
The new media has joined the fray.

It’s doing your job,
It prods and it vets,
And that’s why you’re going away.

Yes, the latest IOTW candidate is none other than the L.A. Times.  Seems they can’t cover the Chicago Tea Parties because they don’t qualify for coverage, no matter how many people attend.

And they wonder why their subscription rates drop like the stock market after Obama opens his mouth.  Fools.

Support your local tea parties.  A buddy told me that he can’t renew Atlas Shrugged from the library because demand is so high.  People want to know; now only if some smart newspaper would actually cover the story….

I support the Chicago Tea Party movement.  The story needs to be told.

Boo!

Boo!

Did I scare you?  No?

Boo!

How about that time? No?

What if I told you that I thought it appropriate for kids to use knives to cut their food?  Would that be okay?  Or would that scare you?

Or if a college student was cutting food with a knife, right in front of you?  Would that scare you?

Boo!

How about now?  Did that one scare you?

What if I said that conceal carry could actually stop deranged psychopaths from murdering people?  Would you, at the time I mentioned it to you in casual conversation, be fearful for your life?

If so, you need help.  Just like this chick.

And to think, the student was told to present an argument.  And the chick was afraid.

BOO!

You’re the latest IOTW candidate.  Grow up!  I’d tell you to grow a pair, but I’d need to tell all the male wimps to do that first.  And I just don’t have enough time over the remainder of my life to do that.

Shooting Fish in a Barrel

Use whatever term you want.  Shooting fish in a barrel.  Grabbing the low hanging fruit.  Whatever.  I previously stated in this blog that I did not want to go exclusively to the dark side, i.e. cover all the idiots in politics.

Hang on tight, boys and girls, we have 3.875 more years of this.  Unless, of course, Revolution 2010 takes its course.  (If you agree, stop here, too, and wear your support!)

Until then, I’ve accepted the fact that an overwhelming number of IOTW (Idiot of the Week) candidates will come from the political realm.  And since I am a regular reader of Michelle Malkin’s site, I will have plenty of fodder from both sides of the aisle.

So who is the newest IOTW candidate?

A ditch digger?  Nah, someone lower than that.

A strung out rock star?  No, that’s still too high on the totem pole.

A politician?  Nope, keep going lower.

An “I sold my soul to Barack Obama” media type?

BINGO!

As I stated here, Barry-O winning the Presidential sweepstakes wasn’t so much about Barry-O, per se, but about the baby boomers attempting to leave a legacy.  They hadn’t done anything historical yet.  Not in the way of MLK-historical, or WWII-historical, or Henry Ford-historical.

Someone must have slipped kool-aid drinking, NYT columnist David Brooks an antidote.  Probably some gun-clinging, religion-clinging salt-of-the-earth conservative.

No, I did not say “republican”.  And yes, the little “r” is intentional.  (Maybe I should present Michael Steele as a candidate, too.  Naah, that would be like putting a dead fish in a barrel, then shooting it.)

David Brooks got what he deserved.  He can look at his IRA and 401k statements, then look in the mirror and blame himself.  Intelligent, freedom-loving Americans will be happy to remind him.

Racism Is a One Way Street

Remember how Barack Obama single-handedly eradicated racism by winning the POTUS sweepstakes?  Remember how it was a sign – allegedly – that MLK’s dream came true?

Not so much.

I guess the Detroit City Council and its constitutents didn’t get the memo.  Oh, wait, never mind, they got the memo…

TOO BLACK TO FAIL!

Politican vs. Politician

IOTW candidate #1, week of 2/9/2009

This is just too funny
.  President Obama makes what looks like an innocuous, reasonable statement about corporate and government junkets on the taxpayer’s dollar.  Sure, companies need to travel and go to conventions as the norm for their industry.  The point was that companies should be budgeting for these trips, not using Political Stimulation cash to fund them.  Yeah, yeah, companies can do what they want with their money, and can act stupid if they desire.  That’s not my point.  This is:

The Mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar “don’t call me a grouch” Goodman, spins the comments to mean, “President Obama said no one should travel to Las Vegas”.

Dude, the President did not say that people shouldn’t travel.  For what, exactly, does President Obama owe you an apology?

That’s the double-edged sword of supporting a tourism-based economy.  I feel your pain.  The worse the economy gets, the less that people can travel.  You shouldn’t be pork-i-fied (would that be second hand pork?), and neither should anyone else.

Deal with it.  Waah!
